Thrifty Thursday-Most Random Thrift Day EVER

Because we put in the herb garden, we have needed a better way to water than using a cup. I’ve been looking for a fun watering can but they’ve all been 20 bucks or whatever and that’s just not my style at all. I actually was NOT looking for one when I went to the thrift store today, but I was looking for a Kansas City Royals T-shirt, which I didn’t find. But look at all the other things that I did:

This is Babs the plant watering pig. The name Babs is stamped on her butt. She also has a $10 price tag on her feet, but I paid half of $2.99. What’s that with Babs?

This is some amazing felted bubble ball purse from Nepal in fabulous colors that was $2.99. This might be the coolest piece of felting I have ever seen. I’ve been assured from my felting artisan friends that it would be a total pain to make but it’s also just totally happy looking.

Then there’s this. I secretly wanted this Nick and Norah adult sized onesie with sock monkey feet around Christmas. They had it at Target but it was expensive enough to not really be a gag type gift that I may/may not wear.

In my size for under $5. OK, you’ve got me. It’s also been unseasonably cold and rainy in this Texas summer (I would like nature to note that I am in NO way complaining). So I actually wore it for part of the day because, why not?

Finally, there’s this masterpiece. I’m so excited because this is my third ridiculously kitschy UK tea towel. This one is Welsh and it’s funny because the boyfriend and I had just been talking about the place on the towel (yes, that is actually a town name and not the unfortunate side effect of a cat walking across the keyboard, it may also turn you into the Freakazoid if you type it out, I’m not sure). In case you are wondering, you can get a funny you tube vid on how to pronounce it here.
